| DIS_ORDER marks the third part of the cycle (GE) – (FÜHL) – (LOS)/ (UN) – (FEEL) – (ING), in which the Cologne-based choreographer Barbara Fuchs probes human emotion. In this edition, the ensemble examines chaos, disorder, confusion and anomalies. This production stages the human nervous system as an installation of sound and movement, as a network of reactions whose external signals and internal stimuli remain unfathomable. A constant shifting of inner and outer, of proximity and distance – aided by the multifaceted electro-acoustic compositions of Jörg Ritzenhoff, which open up such contrasting and contradictory spaces, intimate yet public. “They thus succeed in creating a choreographic fantasy about the incomprehensible correlation between neuronal processes and mental experience.” (Nicole Strecker, Kölner Stadtanzeiger) Barbara Fuchs founded the label tanzfuchs PRODUKTION in 2003 and is co-founder of the Cologne-based choreographers network Barnes Crossing. |
