| THE BOY WHO CRIES WOLF | |||||
| This journey of two men in the moonlight unfolds like a multicoloured, psychedelic dream. In imaginary landscapes they encounter fantastical creatures, one another and themselves – all while balancing on the fine line between comedy and tragedy. “With their powerfully pictorial fantasy ‘The Boy Who Cries Wolf’, Reut Shemesh and the dance duo Overhead Project examine the fairytale dreams of the Western World with a sense of ironic solemnity that spawns a little dance sensation.” (Thomas Linden, aKT) The Cologne-based Israeli choreographer Reut Shemesh trained at the Academy for Music and Dance in Jerusalem, studied choreography at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem and is currently finishing her master´s degree at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). Overhead Project is a collaboration between the two acrobats Tim Behren and Florian Patschovsky, who trained at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels and now work at the cutting edge of acrobatics and contemporary dance. |
