They are silly, they are wise, sometimes, they are a little bit embarrassing, but most of the time, they are honest and courageous. They are smart alecks concerning most of the others because they can draw on their experience. Men around 50. American Jess Curtis and Scot Angus Balbernie converge in order to dance, to fantasize, to maunder about their aging bodies, the little aches and pains starting to show, their unused talents, the wishes and hopes not yet fulfilled. They stage their unusual appraisal of the generation around 50 in an open and unconventional manner. “Jess meets Angus“ is Episode 2 of the generational project. “Just between us!“, a dance performance series developed by Silke Z./resistdance, dealing with different generations and their current questions at existence.
“They can wait, they have a goal without feeling the need to verbalize it. They still have questions but they ran out of answers. Life is too complicated to put its meaning into just a few words. A beautiful production full of experiences.“ Thomas Linden, Kölner Rundschau
