Darko Radosavljev
Salaš - a working tale
In his solo, performer and choreographer Darko Radosavljev explores myths and stories from his country of origin, Serbia, in search of a space between his grandmother's tradition and his upbringing in Germany. The Serbian word “salaš” denotes a labourers’ hut and is the place where Darko Radosavljev's paternal family used to live. Hence “salaš” is both a biographical place and a projection, a place that was never his home. Here, thoughts about physical labour and family community can be spun over and over again, narratives rethought, and family history (re)written.
