“MIRA 11_shift” explores the interplay between people and technology in dance. At the centre of the choreographic process are movement ideas from an application developed for and with MIRA. The performance explores the tensions between personal/anonymous, expropriation/appropriation and human/non-human. The dancers are confronted with the infinite possibilities of artificial intelligence. "Inspiring [...] is the discovery that so much information is being fed in and we can no longer follow its origin.” Julia Riera refers to the question of what the uncontrollably working algorithms mean for us as a society."
