Gudrun Lange has been watching TV or, rather, surfing through the channels, randomly recording the audio tracks of an evening's TV offerings: TV soap operas, car chases, commercials, documentaries, political speeches and sports programmes. The play examines the relations of image and the body, of media-produced images in contrast to the live theatrical situation, imitating TV protagonists with the use of precise body language and expression as well as synchronized speech. In doing so, she delivers the images and provides her body and her self for projections and fantasies.

Gudrun Lange received her education in Rotterdam and New York City. She has been working as a freelance choreographer since 2003, amongst others at the Forum Freies Theater in Düsseldorf. Aside from her work with professional artists, she regularly develops plays with young people and solo works. She was awarded the Förderpreis des Künstlerinnenpreises NRW in 2008.
