New cooperation between tanz nrw, tanznetz and Centre for Contemporary Dance
For the first time, the festival tanz nrw, the online magazine tanznetz and the Centre for Contemporary Dance (ZZT) of the Cologne University of Music and Dance are entering into a cooperation that focuses on dance criticism: Five students will report on 12 productions of tanz nrw 23, which can be seen in nine cities in North Rhine-Westphalia between 4 and 14 May. They will be accompanied editorially by Miriam Althammer, research assistant in dance studies at the ZZT, and Rico Stehfest, editor at tanznetz. Their play reviews will be published on tanznetz under the title "Nachwuchsautor:innen". With this joint project, the institutions would like - at least temporarily - to close a gap in national cultural reporting on the independent dance scene in NRW.
tanznetz is the only daily medium that announces, reflects and discusses stage dance in the entire German-speaking world.
