ROLAND KAISER DRESSING THE CITY
AND MY HEAD IS A SHIRT
An interdisciplinary performance project
in public urban space |
|
DRESSING THE CITY AND MY HEAD IS A SHIRT is the second part of the project cycle URBAN-CITY-URBAN. The performance project focuses on the relationships between people, clothes and urban space. Amid the hubbub of daily city life, eight international performers intervene at distinctive locations in the city. In the ensuing dialogue with the local surroundings, their bodies and countless different items of clothing, irritating, bizarre, abstract images emerge. The artistic power of this intimate action installation lies in the limitations and limitlessness of the bodily realm, in the playful transposition of reality. A transparent “self-enmeshment“ of humans, architecture and daily life.
