Beyond the pale of the classical stage situation: “off stage” unites a multi-layered programme outside the black box. Disregarding genre boundaries, the participating artists offer an afternoon of performances, installations and presentations in alternative spaces at PACT and on the surrounding grounds of the Zollverein complex. In informal talks, they will discuss their practices and provide insights into the themes of their works and movement studies which encompass traditional rituals, obscure objects, urban dance techniques and subversive movements, language and memory.

Children are welcome and a free child-care service is available during the entire programme.
