Seated opposite one another, the audience members find themselves confronted with the mirrored gazes of other spectators. In the space in between the parallel stands, three performers push themselves to physical limits with daring acrobatics that make their onlookers’ hearts skip a beat. Overhead Project was founded in 2008 by Tim Behren, who today artistically directs the label, together with his colleague Florian Patschovsky. The company stands for pieces merging contemporary circus, dance and performance. Since 2018, Overhead Project receives “Spitzenförderung Tanz” from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
