In “GEISTER – Fragment” Ben J. Riepe turns the performance space into a screen. Just as in the digital world, the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred, giving rise to realms of possibility between materiality and immateriality, spirit and flesh, human and machine. Riepe stages a psychedelic “trip” through intensely vivid and flamboyant labyrinthine spaces between the conscious and the subconscious, between digital and analogue reality. The work moves into different spaces, occupies new places and consequently develops further.

Taking up the respective, site-specific conditions, the work can take on different forms and set different focal points. In the Festhalle Viersen, the company is showing a site-specific adaptation of the work.
