In cooperation with tanz nrw 19, the Centre for Contemporary Dance at the Cologne University of Music and Dance will host an interdisciplinary workshop: For the first time, Jone San Martin, Emanuele Soavi and Mikel R. Nieto will share insight into the project “ATLAS 1 – ANY BODY SOUNDS”. Together with the participants, they will employ various improvisational techniques to examine questions such as: What does my body sound like? What sounds come from outside? What comes from inside? How can we express these observations using the body and communicate them through movement? And vice versa: How does a sound artist process the sounds of bodies, their breathing and talking? And how can we establish a reciprocal communicative relationship?
