Ballett am Rhein invites you to an open studio with Richard Chen See, répétiteur and longtime dancer in Paul Taylor’s American Modern Dance (PTAMD), who is working with the company on “Offenbach Overtures” as its new “b.40” production. Audiences are welcome to attend a rehearsal and a talk for some exclusive insight into the style of eminent American choreographer Paul Taylor (1930-2018) and Ballett am Rhein’s latest production. In “Offenbach Overtrures”, Taylor not only takes a tongue-in-cheek look at ballet conventions but also reveals the idiosyncratic nature of some typically human behaviours. A delightfully amusing conclusion to American Modern Dance’s “b.40” programme, which is set to premiere on 8 June 2019.
