With this work, which premiered at the 2018 Festival d’Avignon and was acclaimed as one of its top featured productions, Raimund Hoghe continues his portrait series of exceptional dancers. Following Takashi Ueno and Emmanuel Eggermont, he now gives centre stage to the former prima ballerina and Béjart dancer Ornella Balestra. The Italian based dancer and the Düsseldorf based author and choreographer have been working together for many years. Individual scenes from earlier works emerge like memorabilia and turn the performance into a journey through their shared history. This is also reflected in the presence of Raimund Hoghe and Luca Giacomo Schulte on stage.
