During the rehearsal process, they could bring in their own ideas, their music and movements and experiment with the dancers in this new mode of digital interaction.
Virtuality as a playground for self-presentation: For his piece, Fabien Prioville found inspiration in the video chatroom chatroulette. There, users from around the globe present themselves with short, oftentimes extremely exalted self-portrayals, meet-ing each other in randomly generated encounters. In collaboration with Pascal Merighi, also a former dancer from the Tanztheater Wuppertal, Prioville probes for the fascination of these virtual encounters.
