What divides, what unifies? This is the question Raimund Hoghe traces in his “Pas de deux“, together with Japanese dancer Takashi Ueno. What remains memorized from an encounter is a first impression, the first signals in a glance or a gesture. Both performers permit insight into their worlds, step by step, with minimalist means: their different ages, their different bodies, ways in life, memories. They create a dialogue in movement that allows them to slip into new roles again and again to probe for always new possibilities within a relationship and for one‘s own perspective on the self.
