The first edition of a new festival for dance in North Rhine-Westphalia
10 - 13 MAY 2007
In May the "dance state" North Rhine-Westphalia is launching the first edition of a biannual dance platform for NRW. The festival has been initiated and organized by the Dance Producers Conference, a multi-city joint venture comprising various institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia.
There will be more than 25 selected artistic dance productions on showcase in various locations throughout the region from the 10th to the 13th of May 2007. Among these productions are 3 world premieres: VA Wölfl/NEUER TANZ, Folkwang Tanzstudio/Henrietta Horn, Angie Hiesl Produktion. In addition to this, installations, exhibitions, dance films and several supporting programs will be on offer in the respective cities. The festival will include internationally acclaimed companies alongside promising newcomers with an extensive array of esthetic approaches.
The festival will open on May 10, 2007 at the Studiobühne theater in Cologne.
